Led by Aslan Mirkalami, our founder and a 3rd generation rug dealer, we were the first to blend modern etail techniques with old-world craftsmanship. In 1998, frustrated by the inability to easily exhibit our entire rug collection, we took a chance and ventured into the online marketplace-our first rugs sold quickly. We had found an ideal way of showing our customers the full depth of our collection and ensuring that we could sell them the perfect hand-knotted rug for their home.
